Personal Profile:

TSgt Lara Ishikawa entered the Air Force in January 2003 and was trained as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist at Sheppard AFB, Texas and the US Air Force Academy, Colorado. She was stationed at Luke AFB, Arizona, Kunsan AB, Korea and Aviano AB, Italy. During her assignment to Aviano AB, doctors discovered a mass in her chest and medically transferred her to Lackland AFB, Texas where she underwent treatment. After 3 years of treatments and numerous surgeries, she was returned to active duty. Since her return, she retrained into the ultrasound diagnostic imaging career field and is now stationed at Lackland AFB. She is married to SMSgt Lee Ishikawa.
