More than 300 officers have been selected as command candidates for the calendar year 2015 Combat Air Forces Squadron Command Board, Air Force Personnel Center officials announced Nov. 25.

The 307 selected were among 563 nominees identified earlier this year. Candidates who are not on the selection list will remain eligible for additional vacancies throughout calendar year 2015, as they occur, said Lt. Col. Scott Cerone, the AFPC Combat Air Forces (CAF) branch chief.

"Being selected for squadron command is a significant achievement and a great honor. These are the men and women that will lead our nation's combat squadrons in current and future conflicts," Cerone said. "In addition to combat operations, these commanders will be trusted with the development of their Airmen and the care of their families. Congratulations to each of you."
