Col. Allison Black, the commander of the 319th Special Operations Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Florida. As a lieutenant, she was the navigator on an AC-130H Gunship in Afghanistan in the months after 9/11. Today, Black continues to inspire other female Airmen to blaze their own path. In the next feature, called “Together,” read how the Air Force is working with the Royal Netherlands air force to train Dutch F-16 Fighting Falcon pilots in Tucson, Arizona.
