Joint Personnel Recovery Exercise
Army Sergeant Michael Stine, 1st Battalion, 161st Field Artillery, holds an IV bag for a “victim” of a simulated aircraft crash June 16, 2011, during a personnel recovery exercise. Air Force pararescuemen and Army Soldiers extracted six “casualties” from the Grand Bara Desert in Djibouti, performing lifesaving medical procedures aboard Marine Corps MH-53 Pave Low helicopters transporting them to back Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti.
