U.S. and Bulgarian airmen train together
Two MiG-21s sit on the tarmac as an F-15 Eagle pilot lands May 13, 2010, at Graf Ignatievo Air Force Base in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Airmen from the 48th Fighter Wing are in Bulgaria taking part in Sentry Gold, an exercise developed to familiarize U.S. pilots with the MiG airframes, build partnerships with the Bulgarian air force and assist them in their continued integration into NATO operations. The F-15 is from the 493rd Fighter Squadron at RAF Lakenheath, England. (U.S. Air Force/courtesy photo)
