First snow
MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- A 5th Civil Engineer Squadron snowplow clears an intersection here after the first snowfall of the year. Only mission-essential Airmen reported to duty because of the storm. As of 11 a.m. on Oct. 5, the base had received 5 inches of snow, winds averaging 45 mph and a temperature of 32 degrees.
