Doolittle Raiders reunite

DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- Capt. Scott Cerone talks with Jack Sims, a Doolittle Raider, during a dinner here April 15 honoring the group's 62nd reunion. Doolittle Raiders were part of the pivotal mission April 18, 1942, to bomb Tokyo as symbolic revenge against Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The mission was led by then-Lt. Col. James Doolittle. Seventeen of the 80 raiders are alive today. Captain Cerone is assigned to the base's 357th Fighter Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Lanie McNeal)
