US Air Force Academy, CO
Fourth-class cadets arrive at Cathedral Rock during Recognitions "Run to the Rock". Fourth-class cadets were then required to locate their squadron "charge", a railroad tie fitted with rope handles and decorated by their classmates, and carry it, as a team, back to the Cadet Area. After completing this task of Recognition, fourth-class cadets performed a retreat ceremony and were presented their Props and Wings to wear on their flight caps during a special ceremony, signifying their acceptance into the cadet wing.
