    The ninth annual African Air Chiefs Symposium concluded following four days of collaboration and strategic communications between air chiefs and senior leaders from 35 African air forces along with senior leadership from U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa.

The board selected the 12 Airmen based on superior leadership, job performance and personal achievements.

    Goldfein attended a luncheon at the base dining facility with squadron commanders and superintendents from the 52nd Fighter Wing before meeting with all Sabers to discuss ongoing Air Force initiatives and the base’s significance in the overall Air Force mission.
  • RAF Lakenheath breaks ground on future F-35 infrastructure

    Through the partnership with the DIO, as well as Kier and VolkerFitzpatrick construction groups, the installation will be ready to welcome the first F-35A Lightning II aircraft in late 2021. The infrastructure projects will include a flight simulator facility, a maintenance unit, new hangars and storage facilities to accommodate the new squadrons.
  • Air advisors train with Niger Armed Forces

    Air advisors assigned to the 409th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron conducted training with the Nigerien Armed Forces, also known as Forces Armées Nigeriennes, on how to clear buildings at Niger Air Base 201, July 10.The training was designed to help the FAN improve their efficiency and security when coming in contact with enemy forces.

    The bazaar brought in 43 vendors from the local community of Agadez to sell goods to 226 U.S. military members, who spent a total of $19,011, crushing the previous bazaar’s $12,433.
  • USAFE – AFAFRICA hosts force development event for African, European partners

    The A-EPF is a security cooperation program with European and African partner nations to improve professional military knowledge and skills. This event included workshops in a variety of disciplines, including officer and enlisted development, recruitment and retention, quality of life programs, logistics and other topics.
  • European partnership flight visits Spangdahlem AB

    The visit, which happened during an African-European Partnership Flight program at Ramstein AB, was a multilateral, military-to-military engagement and security cooperation event focused on sharing best practices.
  • Around the Air Force: Flight Equipment / F-35A Integration / GI Bill Transferability

    On today's look around the Air Force, Air Force flight equipment is being redesigned for female aviators, and for the first time, U.S. Air Force F-35As integrated operationally with Italian Air Force F-35As, making use of one of its main technological design features of interoperability. Also, service members who want to transfer Post 9/11 G.I. Bill benefits to their spouse or dependent children will see some changes starting July 12th.
