  • AMC debuts first large-scale virtual command center during MG21

    Airmen from eight units across Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, participated in exercise Razor Talon, led by the 4th Fighter Wing at Seymour Johnson AFB, March 22-26.
  • Mobility Airmen enhance ACE, MCA capabilities during three-week OST

    Completing 106 sorties, 254 flying hours, and nearly 2,000 training events, the 61st AS, 19th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 19th Logistics Readiness Squadron, and 19th Operations Support Squadron sought to tackle Agile Combat Employment, distributed operations, and the Multi-Capable Airmen concept.
  • The 355th Wing flies toward the future

    Airmen from the 355th Wing, 621st Contingency Response Wing and AFWERX Agility Prime teamed up to move a LIFT Aircraft electronic vertical takeoff and landing aircraft using a military aircraft for the first time. The eVTOL vehicle was transported from Springfield, Ohio to Austin, Texas, March 23 – 24.
  • Capstone event validates AFCENT ACE capabilities

    U.S. Air Forces Central conducted an Agile Combat Employment capstone event across the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility Feb. 28 through March 5.
  • AMC delivers multi-capable Airmen during exercise Mosaic Tiger

    The exercise tested Agile Combat Employment skills in a simulated deployed environment to train multi-capable Airmen for the future. Airmen from Air Mobility Command took part in the exercise to enhance readiness and reinforce AMC support to the joint warfighter as well as support of Air Combat Command.
  • 31st FW, Italian air force complete Agile Combat Employment exercise

    The 555th and 510th Fighter Squadrons executed counter air training with the Italian air force 32 Stormo, Rome Air Squad Command. The 32 Stormo is the first European unit to acquire F-35A Lightning II aircraft. 
  • 48th FW conducts ACE exercise

    Four F-15E Strike Eagles and a 14-Airmen maintenance team with limited support equipment participated in a simulated deployment to a forward-operating base on the north side of the RAF Lakenheath airfield.
  • Renowned test pilot Chuck Yeager dies

    Probably his most notable achievement was piloting the Bell X-1 experimental rocket plane, in which he became the first human to fly faster than the speed of sound in 1947, shortly after the founding of the U.S. Air Force as a separate service.
  • USAF, JASDF strengthen Agile Combat Employment capabilities

    Led by Fifth Air Force, the training incorporated Airmen and aircraft from the U.S. Air Force, Pacific Air Forces Command's 35th Fighter Wing, 374th Airlift Wing and 18th Wing, alongside the Japan Air Self-Defense Force Air Defense Command's 2nd Air Wing and the Air Support Command's 1st Tactical Airlift Group, 2nd Tactical Airlift Group and 3rd Tactical Airlift Group.
  • Yokota AB performs first-ever C-130J assault landing on Foxtrot taxiway

    Foxtrot taxiway was originally used for the legacy C-130H models from 1991 to 2001. Since then, Yokota AB’s airlifters have used the permanently painted hard surface on the main runway.
  • 48th Fighter Wing wraps up exercise Valiant Liberty

    The training was designed to increase the 48th Fighter Wing's capability to rapidly support joint operations across the European theater, normalizing interoperability between air and ground force assets.
