  • Mobility Airmen deliver a mission of love to Guatemala

The Denton Program is a Department of Defense transportation program that moves humanitarian cargo, donated by U.S. based non-governmental organizations to developing nations to ease human suffering. The approved cargo is transported by DoD land, air or sea assets on a space-available basis and is managed by the U.S. Department of State and DoD.
  • Organ donation bolsters bond between classmates

Col. Dave Ashley’s schedule since May 2017 included climbing a mountain, completing a 40-mile trail run, competing in a multiday athletic event that included bicycling and kayaking and achieving a perfect score on his military physical fitness test, his seventh in a row. Ashley accomplished all of these feats after donating a kidney. What began as an impulse to help a desperately ill former classmate has turned into a campaign to make sure other service members know the Military Health System supports those who want to become living organ donors.
  • Airmen load, airlift fire truck 3,700 miles to Nicaragua

A New Jersey fire truck was recently transported 3,700 miles aboard a 449th Airlift Wing C-5B Galexy as a donation to volunteer firefighters in Managua, Nicaragua.
