  • AFNORTH’s CAP takes flight to assist tornado recovery

    Air Forces Northern (AFNORTH)'s Civil Air Patrol aircrews are flying storm surveys to assist the National Weather Service and the Kentucky Emergency Management Agency in gauging the official intensities of the deadly tornadoes that ripped into the Midwest on Dec. 10.

  • First Air Force designated as air component to US Space Command

    Following this reorganization, First Air Force will continue to provide uninterrupted air component support to North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command while also exercising command and control over Air Force forces supporting U.S. Space Command.

  • First Air Force provides COVID-19 support through CAP

    CAP’s Michigan Wing has partnered with Michigan State Police, who handle emergency management and lead the state emergency operations center. The wing was available with resources from the moment the center was set up in response to the pandemic.

  • Flexible opportunities available supporting Air Force auxiliary

    For Airmen who want to continue serving their country, but can no longer commit to a monthly or annual schedule, the Civil Air Patrol Reserve Assistance Program may be their next career move. The program, CAPRAP, utilizes officer and enlisted Reserve Airmen as liaisons between local CAP squadrons
