Maj. Gen. S.L. Davis is the Director of Global Power Programs, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics, Arlington, Virginia. He is responsible for the direction, planning and programming of more than 150 Air Force, joint service, and international programs which include the F-15, F-16, F-22, F-35, Minuteman III, B-1, B-2, E-4B NAOC, NC3, Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile, Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile, B61, and Ground Based Strategic Deterrent programs with a $22 billion annual budget.
Maj. Gen. Davis was commissioned in 1989 after graduation from Officer Training School. He has served in a variety of operational and staff assignments including commanding a Minuteman Intercontinental Ballistic Missile wing and the nation’s only ICBM flight test squadron. His headquarters staff assignments include duty at Air Force Space Command, Air Staff, U.S. Strategic Command, Joint Staff, and National Nuclear Security Administration. Prior to his current position, the general was the Director of Global Operations at United States Strategic Command.
