Brigadier General MARTIN A. CHAPIN

Brig. Gen. Martin A. Chapin is the Deputy Director of Strategic Plans, Requirements and Programs, headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Brig. Gen. Chapin assists the director with responsibilities for force structure planning, programming, doctrine and requirements for the nation's airlift and air refueling force.

Prior to assuming his current position, Brig. General Chapin has held a variety of operational, command and staff assignments to include command of the 458th Airlift Squadron, Scott AFB, Illinois, the 621st Contingency Response Wing at both Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, and Travis AFB, California and Defense Logistics Agency Energy, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. His staff assignments include AMC, U.S. Transportation Command, and headquarters Resolute Support, Kabul, Afghanistan.

Brig. Gen. Chapin received his commission as a distinguished graduate of the ROTC program at Oregon State University in June 1990. He is a senior pilot with more than 2,400 flying hours in the T-37B Tweet, T-38A Talon, C-5A/B/C Galaxy and C-21A.
