C-5M Completes First Arctic Overflight to Afghanistan
Lt. Col. Thomas Loper flies a C-5M Super Galaxy on a mission June 5, 2011, from Dover Air Force Base, Del. The C-5M's mission was to complete the first Arctic overflight from Dover AFB to Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. The plane successfully landed at Bagram 15 hours later June 6, 2011.
