C-5M Completes First Arctic Overflight to Afghanistan

Ice-covered areas are seen from above the Arctic Circle from the window of a C-5M Super Galaxy June 5, 2011, on a mission from Dover Air Force Base, Del. The C-5M's mission was to complete the first Arctic overflight from Dover AFB to Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. The plane successfully landed at Bagram AF just over 15 hours later June 6, 2011.
