    The exercise tested Agile Combat Employment skills in a simulated deployed environment to train multi-capable Airmen for the future.   • PT test pushed to July, updates to scoring, physical components ahead

    When assessments resume, the three-component fitness test (1.5 mile run, 1 minute of pushups and situps) will be reset with scores calculated on a new three component scoring table. In addition, work is underway to separate scoring into five-year age groups as opposed to the previous ten – for example, age groups will start at <25, 25-29 years old, 30-34, years old, etc.
  • 341st Missile Wing supports USAFE-AFAFRICA’s CJADC2 demo

    The wing contributed by exploring various communication methodologies and technologies in support of a common operating picture. Combined JADC2 events integrate technology into a common operating network which gives the joint and allied forces an information advantage across all warfighting domains.
  • USAFE completes CJADC2 demonstration

    U.S. Air Forces in Europe-Air Forces Africa, in conjunction with the Department of the Air Force’s Chief Architect’s Office, conducted a Combined, Joint All-Domain Command and Control demonstration in international waters and airspace in and around the Baltic Sea. Participation included assets from U.S. Naval Forces Europe – Africa/U.S. 6th Fleet, U.S. Army Europe – Africa, U.S. Strategic Command, the Royal Air Force, the Royal Netherlands air force and the Polish air force.

  • Army partners with Air Force’s THOR for base defense

    THOR is a prototype directed energy weapon used to disable the electronics in drones, and specifically engineered to counter multiple targets – such as a drone swarm – with rapid results. The technology is housed in a 20-foot-long shipping container that can be stowed in a military cargo plane and assembled by just two people.
  • E-8C JSTARS all-African American flight crew makes history

    The flight crew of Airmen and Soldiers from the Georgia Air National Guard’s 116th Air Control Wing, active-duty Air Force 461st Air Control Wing and the Army’s 138th Military Intelligence Company – collectively known as Team JSTARS – used the training to also commemorate Black History Month.
  • 31st FW, Italian air force complete Agile Combat Employment exercise

    The 555th and 510th Fighter Squadrons executed counter air training with the Italian air force 32 Stormo, Rome Air Squad Command. The 32 Stormo is the first European unit to acquire F-35A Lightning II aircraft. 
  • Reserve Airmen, PACAF distribute ops for AFFOR exercise

    Reserve Airmen from the 713th Combat Operations Squadron supported Headquarters Pacific Air Forces thousands of miles away for an Air Force Forces exercise, Feb. 3-11. More than 25 Reserve Airmen worked via distributed operations from Beale Air Force Base, California, with PACAF’s AFFOR staff at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
