Underground at Minot Air Force Base's Missile Alert Facility B-1, one of 15 91st Space Wing MAFs scattered across northwest North Dakota, 1st Lt. Theresa Lau closes the outer blast door Aug. 18. The 10-ton door permits access to the launch control center where the missile combat crew on duty controls and monitors Minuteman III missiles in dispersed underground launch facilities.
