JTACs participate in joint operation training in Barcis, Italy

Tech. Sgt. Andrew Carpenter writes down coordinates of a simulated target, Dec. 2, 2014, in Barcis, Italy. During a week-long exercise near Aviano Air Base, Italy, U.S. military and the Dutch army train with 555th Fighter Squadron pilots to stay current in their proficiencies. The training allows joint tactical air controllers to coordinate with F-16 Fighting Falcons and practice calling in airstrikes on simulated targets in the mountains. Carpenter is a 2nd Air Support Operations Squadron JTAC. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Matthew Lotz)
