Unit surpasses consecutive 7,000 days with forces in Southwest Asia
Airmen from the 55th Aircraft Maintenance Unit recover a RC-135V/W Rivet Joint Oct. 7, 2009, at an air base in Southwest Asia. RC-135V/Ws deployed to Southwest Asia met a 7,000 consecutive day milestone Oct. 7 in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. The squadron provides commanders near real-time on-scene intelligence collection, analysis and dissemination in support of operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
