Lt. Col. Christopher "Gash" Carlson makes his final settings before taxing out to on sortie in a F-16D Fighting Falcon of the 182 Fighter Squadron, Lackland Air Force Base, TX. Col. Carlson is the Wing Safety Officer with the 149th Fighter Wing. This day's mission had him in the role of an "aggressor" where other fighter pilots attempted to intercept him.
