Lt. Col. Mark Lyons sits in a T-1A Jayhawk flight simulator Oct. 28, 2014, at Vance Air Force Base, Okla. As part of the Energy Analysis Task Force, Lyons is teaching student pilots how to fly in a more fuel-efficient manner in flight simulators.
