Before COVID-19, students would travel to Tyndall Air Force Base for the two-week Contingency Airfield Pavement Evaluation, or CAPE, training course. CAPE training was hosted every other month, with each course accommodating up to 18 students, but COVID-19 brought the course to a stop in early 2020.
