Razor Talon provides joint training for air, ground components
The opposing force scurried around the arid airfield to prepare for an oncoming attack. Without warning, a pair of A-10C Thunderbolt IIs screamed toward the airfield and simulated multiple strafing runs decimating a radar jammer. A Tactical Air Control Party specialist embedded with the 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, confirmed the target was destroyed from a hideout in the woods nearby.

Air liaison officers test cadets
Cadets from the Air Force Academy attended an Air Liaison Officers Aptitude Assessment Feb. 13 – 17, 2017 at Camp Bullis, Texas.
Current ALOs and enlisted tactical air control party members from the 93rd Air Ground Operations Wing filled the roles of cadre and raters to assess if the cadets have what it takes to join their career field.

JTACs enable aerial reaction force mission
Joint terminal air controllers from the 817th Expeditionary Air Support Operations Squadron out of Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, recently began a partnership with Task Force Fighting Eagle’s aerial reaction force to provide JTAC capabilities to their missions.

Goldfein talks air coalition ops during CENTCOM region visit

USAF Weapons School JTAC graduates to receive hallowed patches
When the first five graduates of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School’s Joint Terminal Attack Controller Weapons Instructor Course receive their diplomas during the school’s class 15-A graduation June 27, they will also be awarded the coveted graduate patch of the USAFWS and enter into an elite group of “patch wearer” brethren.
