Pacific allies, partner nations to meet for first Pacific F-35 Symposium
The F-35 Lightning II will take center stage during the Pacific Air Forces’ inaugural F-35 Symposium next week. The two-day conference will mark the largest gathering of F-35 experts to include senior officers and warfighters from Japan, Australia, South Korea as well as the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force.

Air Force, Army work together during EOD training

Airman provides the logistics behind Obama’s archival move
Many former presidents have a library in their namesake, showcasing many records and artifacts from their presidency. A library in honor of President Barack Obama is scheduled to open sometime in 2021 in Chicago, where records and archives from his presidency will be on display. However, the movement of items that will be on display aren’t transferred like a typical household goods move.

Moody Airmen host riot training for local state troopers
Airmen from Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, hosted Georgia State Patrol’s Mobile Field Force semiannual riot control training Nov. 16-17. The GSP used Moody’s facilities to ensure their readiness for riots while Airmen supported by participating as rioters. The training consisted of both classroom and outdoor portions.

JTF-Bravo, Costa Rican medical teams bring health care to remote indigenous village
A group of 16 doctors, nurses, dentists and other specialists from Joint Task Force-Bravo took part in Operation Pura Vida, a joint humanitarian mission and medical readiness training exercise at an indigenous region in the Caribbean province of Limón, Nov. 1-3. The group arrived in four helicopters from the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment and joined 30 Costa Rican physicians to provide basic health care services to approximately 300 residents of the indigenous village of Piedra Mesa, Telire region of Talamanca, Limón.

Exercise Tonnerre Lightning exhibits trust, teamwork, training
Around-the-clock, whether for combat operations or humanitarian aid, Airmen are ready to respond anywhere. Until they get that call, however, Airmen hone their skills through exercises and realistic training.
During exercise Tonnerre Lightning, the U.S. Air Force worked with United Kingdom and French forces to prepare and conduct realistic training Oct. 31-Nov. 9, at Royal Air Force Waddington, England.

US, UK, South Korean air forces conduct strategic exercise
The Royal Air Force operated its largest deployment of equipment and personnel to the Korean Peninsula since the 1950s during Invincible Shield, a combined interoperability exchange, which is taking place Nov. 1-10.
