903rd AEF to hold 50th anniversary
Original members of the 903rd Aeromedical Evacuation Flight will gather at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, in May, 2017, to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Established in February, 1967, the 903rd AEF was the first Air Force tactical aeromedical unit used in a combat area.

AFIMSC civilian honored for heroism
Greg Gangnuss, a civilian member of the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, was on a voluntary deployment to Afghanistan as a senior environmental adviser for the Ministry of Defense Advisor Program when a helicopter carrying nine coalition members crashed after striking a cable while landing at the NATO Resolute Support Mission headquarters in Kabul Oct. 11, 2015, killing five people on board. Gangnuss helped rescue four, including Col. Laurel Burkel.

Deployment provides reservist teacher valuable experience for classroom

Jason Paseur, currently deployed in Southwest Asia as the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing historian, is always on the hunt for creative lessons for the classroom where he teaches as a civilian. Paseur is a reservist deployed from the 94th Airlift Wing out of Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia.

AFIMSC reaches full operating capability
The unit which consolidated more than 150 Air Force-wide installation and mission support capabilities a year ago has achieved full operating capability. Maj. Gen. Brad Spacy, the commander of the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, declared FOC a year after his unit reached initial operating capability in October 2015.
