6/23/2011 - SAN ANTONIO  -- For the 15th year in a row, the Air Force Services Club Program will award $25,000 in scholarship funds.

The Air Force Services Club Membership Scholarship Program is a club member-only program intended to help club members and their families defray the cost of higher education. Twenty-five winners will be selected and each will receive a $1,000 award.

Applicants must be a current Air Force club member or dependent family member to participate. They must also be accepted by or enrolled in an accredited college/university for entry during the 2011 fall term as a part-time or full-time student.

To apply, applicants must submit a one-page 500 words or less essay on this year's topic: "My Contribution(s) to the Air Force." Applicants must also submit entry forms available at all force support squadron facilities or online at www.afclubs.net/CN_Scholarship.htm.

All scholarship packages must be submitted in person to a local installation Club Membership Scholarship Program point of contact by July 1. Winners will be announced in mid-September, and winner essays will be posted on the Air Force Services Clubs website at www.afclubs.net.
