1/25/2012 - JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas (AFNS) -- The 2011B Colonel Line of Air Force and Nurses Corps Central Selection Boards selected 539 lieutenant colonels and 112 captains for promotion.

The boards considered 4,100 lieutenant colonels and 180 captains for promotion. The results of the boards are as follows:

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for colonel:
LAF - 427 selected from 934 considered for 45.7 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for colonel:
LAF - 10 selected from 861 considered for 1.2 percent select rate

Selection statistics below-the-promotion zone for colonel:
LAF - 77 selected from 2,107considered for 3.7 percent select rate

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for colonel:
NC - 19 selected from 45 considered for 42.2 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for colonel:
NC - 4 selected from 52 considered for 7.7 percent select rate

Selection statistics below-the-promotion zone for colonel:
NC - 2 selected from 101 considered for 2 percent select rate

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for major:
