FRANCES A. DUNTZ Frances A. Duntz, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is Deputy for Acquisition, Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass. She is the senior civilian responsible to the commander of an organization composed of more than 10,000 military, civil service and contract support personnel, and an annual budget exceeding $4 billion. The organization acquires and develops command and control systems for the Air Force. Ms. Duntz entered federal service in 1977 and was assigned to various program offices at Wright-Patterson AFB, serving as Integrated Logistics Support Manager and Deputy Program Manager for Logistics for major tactical weapon systems. As the Special Programs Deputy for the Air Force Acquisition Logistics Center, she managed DPML resources for classified weapon systems. Transferring to Warner Robins Air Logistics Center in Georgia, Ms. Duntz led the Specialized Management Directorate, supporting critical developmental and operational tri-service weapon systems, and later served as Deputy Director of the F-15 System Program Office. On her return to Wright-Patterson AFB, she was assigned as Chief of the Aeronautical Systems Center's Acquisition Support Team. Ms. Duntz was selected for the Senior Executive Service in February 2000 as Director of the Global Mobility SPO, leading and integrating the activities of 250 people engaged in cargo and tanker aircraft development, and support for various customers. Her assignments at Headquarters AFMC included Deputy Director of Plans and Programs, Deputy Director of Requirements, and Deputy Director of Capabilities Integration.
