F-35A Lightning II store separation test completed ahead of schedule, under budget
A one-fifteenth scale model of an F-35A Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter undergoes store separation testing in the Arnold Engineering Development Complex 4-foot transonic wind tunnel, known as 4T, at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn. 4T is a continuous-flow wind tunnel that can simulate altitudes from sea level up to 98,000 feet. The tunnel has supported almost every major national flight vehicle development program. (U.S. Air Force courtesy photo)
