The September/October issue of Airman magazine is now available to download and viewable through a web browser.

Our cover story, titled “The Summit,” takes you on a journey with the U.S. Air Force Seven Summits Challenge Team as they become the first group of service members to climb the tallest peaks of each mountain on every continent. But they didn't just do it for the glory, the team did it to pay tribute to their fallen comrades. Since making history, the team has shifted their focus to introducing ill or injured Airmen to the therapeutic value of mountain climbing.

Also featured in this month’s issue is “We Are Not Drones,” which tells the story of remotely piloted aircraft pilots and sensor operators as they work together to protect the troops on the ground.
