Staff Sgt. Trevor Fettig and Senior Airman Carrie Gay get a final brief from Master Sgt. John Werner during a unit mission readiness exercise March 27 at an air base in Southwest Asia. Serving as a survey team, Sergeant Fettig and Airman Gay are preparing to put on protective suits and determine if a designated area is "contaminated." Sergeant Fettig and Airman Gay are readiness and emergency management journeymen with the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron. Sergeant Werner is the emergency management flight chief. Sergeant Fettig is from Lompoc, Calif., and is deployed from Travis Air Force Base, Calif. Airman Gay hails from Sacramento, Calif., and is deployed from McConnell AFB, Kan.
