MAJOR GENERAL JOHN M. MILLER

Maj. Gen. John M Miller is mobilization assistant to the Commander, Air Mobility Command, and Commander, U.S. Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. 

General Miller entered the Air Force as a distinguished graduate of Officer Training School in 1964. His initial assignment was as an aircraft maintenance officer on the supersonic B-58 Hustler and the KC-135 tanker aircraft. He has more than 25 years of aircraft maintenance experience and served as deputy commander for maintenance of a composite wing of rescue and weather reconnaissance aircraft. He came to Scott AFB from the Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, where he spent six years working logistics issues for aircraft acquisition and depot support. 

He is both an FAA-certified pilot and an airframe and powerplant mechanic, with more than 16,000 flying hours in fixed and rotary wing aircraft. His worldwide flying experience includes Europe, Asia and South America.
