BRIGADIER GENERAL D. SCOTT GEORGE

Brig. Gen. D. Scott George is the Deputy Chief, Central Security Service, National Security Agency, Fort George G. Meade, Md. He assists the Chief, Central Security Service, who also serves as the Commander, U.S. Cyber Command, and Director, National Security Agency, with operational control of signals intelligence missions conducted by all the military services and the Coast Guard, comprising more than 15,000 personnel.

General George received his commission through the Officer Training School in 1985. He served on the Air Staff as a command briefer for the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, and on the Joint Staff as the Chief of the Joint Airborne Reconnaissance Assessment Team. He was the first intelligence officer selected as a member of the Commander's Action Group working directly for the Air Combat Command Commander. He has commanded an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance squadron, training group and intelligence wing. Additionally, General George was Commander of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, where he led 3,100 personnel providing a broad range of integrated, tailored assessments, products and services to joint operational forces, national policymakers, and the acquisition community. Most recently, he was the Director of Intelligence (J2), U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, Nebraska where he was the senior intelligence officer and principal intelligence adviser to the USSTRATCOM Commander.
