MAJOR GENERAL WILLIAM M. RAJCZAK Maj. Gen. William M. Rajczak is Deputy Director for Joint Capability Development, U.S. Joint Forces Command, Norfolk, Va. In this role, General Rajczak oversees the development of a vast network of innovation, integration and joint/multinational interoperable architectures and data standards in direct support of combatant command joint task forces worldwide. He provides oversight and executive management of the command and control capability portfolio to ensure integration with battle space awareness and net centric operations. Working closely across JFCOM, he leads efforts to develop future joint command and control capabilities in cooperation with U.S. Strategic Command, Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Joint Staff. He also provides executive guidance and support to the integration of cyber support activities and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance with command and control efforts in JFCOM. General Rajczak was commissioned in 1971 as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering management. He holds graduate degrees in systems management and hazardous waste management. He is a career logistician, traffic manager and transportation officer. He has commanded a squadron and the largest regional support group in the Air Force Reserve. General Rajczak has served in a variety of command and staff positions at wing and numbered air force units, as well as at Headquarters U.S. Air Force and U.S. Joint Forces Command. The general was recalled to active duty in 1999, a second time in 2002, and was selected to serve in his current billet in October 2006.
