BRIGADIER GENERAL ROBERT A. KRELL

Brig. Gen. Robert A. Krell is mobilization assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff, United Nations Command and U.S. Forces Korea, Yongsan Army Garrison, South Korea. He supports the DCS who serves as the U.S. member of the UNC Military Armistice Commission; interacts with UNC liaison groups from eight nations and supervises UNC (Rear) headquarters at Camp Zama, Japan. Moreover, he helps the DCS direct, coordinate and integrate the actions of the USFK joint staff and component commands. Finally, he assists the DCS who works with the U.S. Embassy and Republic of Korea government to coordinate matters affecting U.S. military and civilian personnel stationed in the republic. 

General Krell was commissioned in June 1968 as a distinguished graduate of the ROTC program at Syracuse University. He finished number one both in his class and also at summer camp training and commanded the ROTC detachment. The general attended National War College and commanded the Wargaming and Simulation Detachment at the National Defense University. He has been assigned to the Air Force Secretariat, Air Staff, major command and Office of the Secretary of Defense levels. He holds the master communications and intelligence badges.
