MAJOR GENERAL DWYER L. DENNIS

Maj. Gen. Dwyer L. Dennis is Program Executive Officer for C3I and Networks, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass. In this position, he is responsible for more than 2,200 personnel and acquisition execution of a $10.9 billion portfolio developing, deploying and sustaining Air Force, joint and coalition cyberspace, networks, cryptologic and data link systems to enable decisive combat operations.

In his previous assignment, General Dennis was Director, Global Reach Programs, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. As the capability director, General Dennis was responsible to the Air Force acquisition executive for the $5.6 billion airlift, air refueling, training, and special operations programs portfolio, which includes KC-46, Presidential Airlift Replacement (PAR), Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH), T-X, C-5, C-17, KC-10, KC-135, C-130, CV-22, HH-60, LAIRCM, CNS/ATM, OSA/VIPSAM, T-1, T-38, and JPATS. 

The general also previously served as the Program Executive Officer for Fighters and Bombers, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, where he was in charge of cost, schedule, performance, and life-cycle management of the fighters and bombers portfolio, which included the A-10, B-1, B-2, B-52, F-15, F-16, F-22, Combat Systems, and Special Programs. He has also served as the Director of the Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Requirements Directorate, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio where he enabled AFMC to deliver war-winning capabilities through life-cycle capabilities planning; technology development and transition; intelligence integration; and acquisition support.

General Dennis was commissioned in 1983 as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. Throughout his career he has held numerous supervisory and leadership positions to include serving as the military assistant to the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology and Logistics), and as the Air Force Director, International Programs, Joint Strike Fighter System Program Office, Arlington, Virginia. He has commanded at the group and wing level. The general is a Level III certified Acquisition Program Manager with Joint Staff experience.
