SecAF nominee testifies before Senate committee

Secretary of the Air Force nominee Deborah Lee James testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee Sept. 19, in Washington, D.C. 

The committee convened to consider her nomination by President Barack Obama to be the 23rd secretary of the Air Force. 

"Deborah's strong record of public service and leadership in the private sector makes her uniquely qualified to be my nominee for Secretary of the Air Force," Obama said in a news release.
