Personal Profile:

Retired SrA Jeremiah Means joined the Air Force in 2007 after he completed his EMT-I certification and two years of pre nursing school at Columbus State University. After basic training, he was assigned to Sheppard AFB, Texas where he went on to finish in the top of his class in Phase 1,2, and 3 of his career field training and received a number of letters of recommendation for his work. He was also one of the youngest to graduate in his class to be an Aeromedical Evacuation Technician and graduated with honors from survival school. He was then assigned to the 908th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron and was additionally training and testing to be a survival Specialist. He completed the Physical Aptitude and Stamina Test but while preparing to deploy he became sick with Su Sac’s Syndrome from his vaccination shots. After 2 months of hospitalization and 3 years of outpatient therapy, SrA Means was medically retired from the Air Force in June 2013. He and his wife, Ashley, became involved in the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program in February 2014.
