The Air Force has selected 87 company grade officers for the 2015 Undergraduate Flying Training Program.

The UFT annual selection board convened in February to consider active-duty candidates for pilot, remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) pilot, combat systems officer (CSO) and air battle manager training, said Maj. Stephen Barbour, the chief of Air Battle Manager (ABM) Assignments.

Pilot training candidates will attend Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, or Specialized Undergrad Pilot Training at Columbus AFB, Mississippi; Vance AFB, Oklahoma; and Laughlin AFB, Texas. RPA selectees will attend training at Randolph. ABM candidates will attend training at Tyndall AFB, Florida and CSO candidate training is at Pensacola Naval Air Station, Florida.

UFT selection is highly competitive, the major said. Officers interested in UFT should plan ahead if they intend to apply in the fall.
