Tanker fuel
MANAS AIR BASE, Kyrgyzstan (AFPN) -- Staff Sgt. Ryan Smith filters fuel to check its purity. Before fuel can be considered Air Force quality, it must be inspected and mixed with performance-enhancing additives. Technicians in the 376th Air Expeditionary Wing's logistics readiness squadron here deliver about 4 million gallons of fuel monthly to KC-135 Stratotankers supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
