    Air Force’s Spectrum Management Office joins the Cyberspace Operations and Warfighter Communications Directorate assigned to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Cyber Effects Operations. This is a vital move in a larger plan to support, from a Headquarters Air Force perspective, the synchronization of Information Warfare functions.
  • Global Hawks return to Yokota AB, provides continuous support to joint partners, allies

    The rotation of Global Hawks, owned by the 319th Reconnaissance Wing Detachment 1, to Yokota Air Base, Japan, provides a stable location from which the platform can operate when inclement weather in Guam, including typhoon activities, hinder readiness.

    Sixteenth Air Force activated at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Oct. 11, integrating Twenty-Fourth Air Force, to include Air Forces Cyber, and Twenty-Fifth Air Force into a single headquarters that will provide global intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, cyber, electronic warfare and information operations.
  • 548th ISRG, 9th SFS partner with Hivemapper program to utilize drone capabilities

    Beale AFB is currently the first base to beta-test the Hivemapper program, an artificial drone capability that records and senses change detection, as a way to save time and manpower, while improving security and operational risk measures for the installation.
  • ACC discusses 16th Air Force as new information warfare NAF

    Air Combat Command will integrate 24th Air Force and 25th Air Force capabilities into a new organization under a single commander who will be responsible for providing information warfare capabilities to combatant commanders with the speed to match today’s technological environment.
  • ACC commander holds NAF integration town hall

    Air Combat Command announced the plans for this reorganization in April of this year as a way to better integrate cyber effects, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations, electronic warfare operations and information operations. The synergy between cyber, ISR, EW and IO will increase unity of effort across these capabilities, resulting in new and improved options for combatant commanders.

Pershing’s punitive expedition into Mexico.
