  • 62nd AW exemplifies ACE during Swift Response

    Once chocks were pulled from underneath wheels, seatbelts were on and the aircraft was clear for takeoff; Airmen with the 7th and 8th Airlift Squadrons ascended thousands of feet into the Pacific Northwest skies and flew straight in to exercise Swift Response, May 7-16.

  • Total Force C-17 aircrew awarded Distinguished Flying Cross

    Three Reserve Airmen assigned to the 349th Air Mobility Wing at Travis AFB, and an active-duty Airman assigned to the 3rd Wing, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, were recognized for helping evacuate Americans and allies out of Afghanistan during Operation Allies Refuge in August 2021.

    The shipment was originally intended to support New Horizons, a U.S. Army South-led joint humanitarian exercise that would have taken place in southern Honduras, but was cancelled due to COVID-19, and items were redirected to support local hospitals throughout Honduras.

  • AMC’s largest exercise, Mobility Guardian 2019 begins

    Mobility Guardian 2019 is set to be AMC’s largest full-spectrum readiness exercise to date. Forty-six U.S. aircraft will join aircraft from 29 international partners, along with more than 4,000 U.S. and international Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps aviators.
