In reflection: A look back at Operation Allies Refuge

August marks the first anniversary of Operation Allies Refuge and the evacuation of Afghan citizens from Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan. As the largest non-combatant evacuation operation in American history, the humanitarian mission saw more than 120,000 Afghan citizens assisted by Airmen and equipment during the operation.
