Maintenance is key to keeping Yokota, Kadena aircraft flying
The aircraft at Yokota and Kadena air bases in Japan rely on the 374th Maintenance Squadron’s phase docks to receive their maintenance and keep them going. Every 540 days, a C-130 Hercules or MC-130 Talon II enters the phase docks for an inspection and repairs. During the 14- to 16-day process, Airmen inspect the aircraft and fix any potential discrepancies.

Deployed loadmasters fix problems ‘on the fly’
A weasel is characterized by its tenacity, persistence and keen senses. It is an animal also known for its ability to react quickly in any given situation. An airlift squadron at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, shares these characteristics. Airmen of the 774th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron encompass the characteristics of their mascot, and the loadmasters who work there are key to the mission’s “can do” and “ready to go” attitude.

AF report to Congress: Pursues retention of C-130Js at Keesler

Cope South experts exchange knowledge, techniques
The flight line here at exercise Cope South 15 (CS15) is usually a flurry of activity every morning, with maintainers firing up auxiliary power units and loadmasters finalizing their cargo plan.
However on Jan. 27, there wasn't a single C-130 Hercules aircraft engine running. Instead, U.S. and Bangladesh air force (BAF) airmen were busy forging relationships and exchanging knowledge in their respective fields with one another.
