The F-35 Lightning II will take center stage during the Pacific Air Forces’ inaugural F-35 Symposium next week. The two-day conference will mark the largest gathering of F-35 experts to include senior officers and warfighters from Japan, Australia, South Korea as well as the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force.

From a small blood sample to aircraft ammunition, the 731st Air Mobility Squadron’s special handling section assists in the distribution of critical military items to installations across the Korean Peninsula.

Fighter squadrons across the Korean Peninsula routinely participate in Buddy Wings to enhance the interoperability of U.S. and South Korean air forces. For Buddy Wing 16-7, F-16 Fighting Falcon pilots from the 36th Fighter Squadron traveled to Daegu Air Base, South Korea, to train with F-15K Slam Eagle pilots of the South Korean’s 11th Fighter Wing from Aug. 8-12.
