5/27/2011 - SAN ANTONIO (AFNS) -- In continuing efforts to build a resilient force, single Airmen returning from deployment and families of deployed members can receive special discounts at select Force Support Squadron activities to help Airmen and their families ease the pressures and stress associated with deployments, officials said.

Air Force Services Agency officials will offer PLAYpass cards May 28 through Dec. 31. The cards, valued at more than $500, feature discounts on activities such as child care, youth sports, recreation programs and classes.

"We're excited to expand this program to single Airmen to provide deployment respite and help with re-integration," said Linda Weston, an Air Force Services Agency marketing specialist. "The program is based on discount cards that provide single Airmen and eligible family members the opportunity to participate in programs at either reduced costs or free of charge."

For more information about the PLAYpass program, program eligibility and other quality of life programs, visit www.MyAirForceLife.com or your installation force support squadron.

Did all the bases get these The article says AFSA will offer 28 May but Andrews says they aren't getting them until August - by then we will have missed all the summer opportunities and our 90-day eligibilty would have expired. Are they going to credit time for bases who don't have them on time

Yet another AF program designed to virtually help you. My husband just returned from deployment and was told by the JB Andrews AF and R that they wouldn't get any passes until at least after August. Hmmm and there's a time limit to use them.
