6/7/2012 - JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO - RANDOLPH, Texas (AFNS) -- More than 200 Airmen have been selected for promotion as part of the June enlisted supplemental promotion process, Air Force Personnel Center officials announced here.

To see the list, go to http://www.afpc.af.mil/shared/media/document/AFD-120607-013.pdf.

Airmen on the supplemental list are those who tested outside of their required cycle because of an extended temporary duty assignment or deployment in support of a contingency, said Master Sgt. Gisela Hawthorne, the noncommissioned officer in charge of enlisted promotions and testing.

The promotion score is a composite of several Weighted Airman Promotion System factors, including time-in-grade, time-in-service, enlisted performance reports, decorations, promotion fitness examination score and specialty knowledge test score, Hawthorne explained. For promotion to senior or chief master sergeant, it also includes board scores.

Although promotion selections have been announced, they are tentative until the data verification process is complete, which is generally 10 days after the promotion release date, she said.
