Student employee sets standard in workforce recruiting program

8/12/2012 - Veena Meer, a student employee with the Air Force Equal Opportunity Office, received a Defense Department award in a ceremony at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., July 26, 2012. Meer was awarded for her work in promoting the employment of disabled people. She and four others were chosen from a field of 400 students supporting the workforce recruitment program. Her accomplishments include helping to place the highest amount of workforce recruitment program students in Air Force history, increasing the efficiency of screening program candidates, eliminating discrepancies to ensure 100-percent accuracy in the program database and creating exit surveys to gather feedback from those students who declined positions with the program.
