This First Class Cadet was a rare and stellar individual to have been Nominated and accepted into the United States Air Force Academy and to have accepted this high calling to serve. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. May a merciful and loving God bring all of them peace at this very difficult time. Your Air Force family is here to support you in any way possible.

Matthew was a mentor to the cadets in Civil Air Patrol. I will always remember him for his kind and gentle nature and his willingness to help the younger cadets. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
